Purify and Bless Your home and Family

The following is a practice from my home. The phrase "Vai via sporcizia, torna da dove sei venuta!" is very dear to my heart. I can still see my Zia waving her right arm shooing away dirt and evil spirits. ~Rue

Supplies: Bucket, mop, broom, water, vinegar, sea-salt, bar of pure white soap (i.e. Ivory)

First the home.

Clean your house. All of it. Drawers, cupboards, closets... If possible change your furniture around. Dust your furniture. Sweep the entire house, pick up all the dirt and dust with a dustpan, go to your back door, and toss it out saying:

"Vai via sporcizia, torna da dove sei venuta!" (Away with you filth, return to whence you came!)

Get a bucket, fill with water and a cup of vinegar and wash all your floors. Sprinkle salt on your carpets and vacuum. Replace the bag. Make sure to dispose of the full bag. To the bucket of water that you just washed your floor with, add a fistful of salt, stir 13 times, take it outside and pour it into the soil saying:

"Vai via sporcizia, torna da dove sei venuta!" (Away with you filth, return to whence you came!)

Now take a clean pot/cauldron, fill with water and add a tablespoon of salt, stir with your right index finger clockwise 13 times. At each window and entrance, dip your right index finger and trace a pentagram saying:

"Male non entra, bene non esca. Tutti quelli che mi vogliono bene, entrate. Quelli che mi vogliono male andati via!" (Evil does not enter, good does not exit, all those who wish me well are welcome, those who don't are not!)

Once this is done pour the remaining salt water on your FRONT yard or porch. Burn purifying incense of your choice, make sure you send smoke into every room, especially under and over beds. In your kitchen, light a brand new white candle, let burn all the way down (may be the same day or over several days depending on the size of the candle. Please never leave candles burning unattended). That's the home.

Now For You!

Plug the drain. take a shower and wash your hair using ordinary shampoo and a piece of a brand new bar of white soap just big enough to hold and wash with. Do not use anything such as a facecloth or sponge. Visualize that you are washing off all the negativity. When you're done, take a clean empty jar with a lid. fill it with some of the water that collected in the tub and the piece of soap. Let the tub drain and rinse immediately with a solution of 1 part vinegar and 3 parts water (A quart of liquid should suffice) Take the jar to your backyard, pour it onto the soil saying:

"Vai via sporcizia, torna da dove sei venuta!" (Away with you filth, return to from where you came!)

Now you're done! Originally posted August 12, 2000
